You directed the Texas Health & Human Services Commission's Refugee Resettlement Program to not participate in the resettlement of any Syrian refugees in the State of Texas. Under the Refugee Act of 1980 governors cannot legally block refugees and this means that your hands are tied. I find it funny that you and every other White male Governor (WASP), including Jindal are using the French tragedy to push your Christian agenda. Do remember that The First Amendment to the United States Constitution provides that and Article VI specifies that "no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States."

Let me remind you that a refugee is a person who is outside their home country because they have suffered (or feared) persecution on account of race, religion, nationality, or political opinion; because they are a member of a persecuted social category of persons; or because they are fleeing a war. It is clear that what all you and the 25 other governors are doing is pushing Ethnocentrism, Racism, White privilege, Xenophobia & a host of other irrational forms of discrimination.
